Salta La Banca nació en el invierno de 2007, cuando se conocieron Santiago Aysine y Alberto Grammatico. Se juntaban a grabar composiciones que por el momento Santiago tenía en su haber, y llegaron a reunir 12 temas. Su primer show se dio en Noviembre, en Makena, el mítico bar de Capital Federal. Con lo recaudado compraron cd's vírgenes y grabaron 200 copias de su trabajo, los cuales fueron todos vendidos en el verano, en la costa argentina.
