Kalimba Marichal Ibar (born July 26, 1982 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican singer, born in Mexico City, D.F., Mexico. Kalimba is of Afro-Mexican descent, as is his name — "Kalimba" is a musical instrument of African origin composed of a wooden box set with metal bars to be plucked with the fingers.

1. Brazilian psychedelic trance project that oscillates from a heavy night fullon to great morning hi-tech music.
2. A dub music project by the members of the Canadian band Big Sugar, which released one album, "Extra Long Life".
3. A young Dancehall artist Alkaline says his music represents everything that society is afraid of and society represents everything that he is afraid of. Kalibas, Rochester NYs premier grind band, was formed in December of 1999 from the ashes of As the World Burns, Lethargy, A Death between Seasons, and Shodokan. Drummer Erik Burke, guitarist Jody Roberts, bassist Paul Pieramico and vocalist Pat Murphy began writing material for a demo. Guitarist Greg Hermann of Inertia was added, the writing completed, and the demo, which would later become Eyes Forever Red, on Howling Bull America, was recorded. After playing a few shows Greg decided to leave the band for personal reasons, later going on to play drums for Psyopus.
