Ivar Vermeulen is a skilled composer, producer, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In 2001 he released his first album "Ivar" which was well received by Dutch press and music lovers. In spite of the initial succes, his record company decided to let him go, due to reorganisation and major cutbacks in budgets for Dutch based artists. Driven by the sheer need to put his skills "out there", he and his longterm musical mate Martijn van Waveren decided to team up, resulting in the birth of RebelMusic. .

1] Charivari (pronounced shah ree – va ree) was a south Louisiana Cajun band. Its members varied and included Mitchell Reed (fiddle), Jonno Frishberg (fiddle, accordion), Randy Vidrine (guitar, vocals), Alfred “Bo” Ledet (bass), Matt Swiler (drums), Lois Sprague (bass), Zach Huval (accordion), and Ben Goodwin. Maja Ivarsson, born 2 October, 1979 in Åhus, Skåne (in southern Sweden) is the lead singer with the Swedish New Wave band The Sounds. She plays the electric guitar (having taken it up age 14) and is a lyricist.
