Electrostep can be fusion genre of both between Electro and Drum and Bass, Or most recently, Dubstep and Electro.
For Electro + Drum and Bass:
Electrostep is dubbed from John B for creating 1980s electroclash influenced fusion of electro and drum and bass.
It is essentially an 80’s kinda feel synth pop styled drum and bass. It draws elements from Synthpop, Italodisco, Eurodance, Nu metal, Dubstep and Western classical music.
For Dubstep + Electro/Electro House:
It is a fusion genre of Dubstep and Electro House.
It can have other similarities to Moombahcore and Brostep as well.
Artist like Savant, Farleon, Zomboy, Zedd, and Prototype Raptor can be credited with having this new style.
Not to be confused with Complextro which is basically a more choppy version of Electro House with a normal 4x4 time signature.
