Techlifting Trance | en

Techlifting Trance is a style of Tech Trance music that draws influences mainly from Uplifting Trance (or vice-versa,) and on many occasions from Acid Trance and Psytrance. The word 'Techlifting' is a portmanteau of the words 'Techno' and 'Uplifting'. Tech Trance like Trance takes on many different forms, some draws in influences from Detroit Techno while some draws from Balearic Trance. Techlifting Trance is one of the many different styles of Tech Trance, however it draws influences from Uplifting Trance. Techlifting Trance is originally categorized as either Tech Trance or Uplifting Trance, but as more and more artists began to produce this style of music, it's sounding and structure becomes more recognizable and distinctive to Tech Trance and Uplifting Trance.

The structure can be ranged from a happy and energetic progression of Uplifting Trance to both an electro and driving sounding of Tech Trance and an acidic progression composed noticeably of Acid Trance and Psytrance.

Techlifting Trance usually has the structural progression of Uplifting Trance as of the epic orchestral composition, extended breakdowns, and relegation of arpeggiation (the melodic part of the song, usually consisting of "Saw Synths/Square Lead" type sounds) to the background while bringing wash effects to the fore (the harmonic element of the music, or "background fill", usually consisting of synth choir/voice/string chord progressions,) that brings in the "Banging" and "Rushing" feel.

While having the figures of Tech Trance as of the complex, electronic rhythms, heavily quantised and usually driven by a loud kick drum, with filtered, dirty or slightly distorted hi-hat sounds and claps; harder synth sounds, usually with a large amount of resonance or delay, which results in the heaviness and hardness of the sounds in Techlifting Trance.

Along with the composition of Psytrance and Acid Trance with their acid sounds, hypnotic arrangements of synthetic rhythms and complex layered melodies created by high tempo riffs, which brings in the addictive groove of the music.

Noticeable artists included: Harmonic Rush, Angry Man, Adam Ellis, Ellez Ria and John Askew.

Records such as Mental Asylum Records, Diverted Music and Perfecto Fluoro have been releasing tracks with this recognizable style of music. .
