The duyster tag represents the music played (or similar to played music) on the Belgian radio show "duyster." (2000-2015). Every sunday evening from 22.00h til 00.00h CET, except in July and August, it was broadcasted on Studio Brussel. It was also possible to relisten the week's show until the following sunday.
Now the show has ended the unofficial fan page duyster-online is putting an old episode online following the known airing schedule for relisting.
It's really hard to put a genre on "duyster.". They've broadcasted almost everything from local Belgian projects (Krakow, de portables, amatorski) to more popular international acts (Radiohead, Sigur Rós, The Shins, Strand of Oaks, The Notwist, Nils Frahm,...). It's not the genre that's important here: it's the atmosphere, the emotion. "duyster." is kinda dark, but also optimistic in a way. Maybe melancholic...
The show's moniker is "calm but restless".
