The term "post-disco" is a referal to the late 70s early 80s movement of disco music into more electronic influenced sounds. At times, this tag is used synonymously with Hi-NRG, dance, and Italo Disco. This was mainly brought on by DJs and music producers. Two prime examples are Giorgio Moroder and Larry Levan. Post-disco music is generally quite rare, some excellent examples of hard-to-find songs are noted in video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, on fictional radio station Paradise FM.
Post-disco musicians include Freeez, Liquid Liquid, Nick Straker Band, Patrice Rushen, Peech Boys, Raw Silk, Was (Not Was), Skyy, Unlimited Touch, Kleeer, D. Train, Indeep, Tom Tom Club, Shalamar, Midnight Star, Debbie Harry, The Tapps, Hazell Dean, and Lime. .
