Pulse State started in the late 90's as an emotional outlet for the Detroit based musician Mike Phipps, who also uses Pulse State as a pseudonym. Moving through different electronic styles during its lifetime, Pulse State has been operating in the melodic EBM, electro-pop and darkwave spheres for some years now. A few early releases paved the way for the long-awaited debut album, With a Single Step (2008). Aeons of Eclipse came into existence August 2004 in Glasgow, Kentucky. The concept of the band was to create the darkest and fastest music possible. The original lineup of Scott Briggs (drums), Derek Boles, (guitar, bass), Ryan Meadows (vocals) and Ryan Morkulven (guitar, keys) quickly set out to record the demo "From Dark Distance" very soon after the band's conception. The sound featured a very stripped down and raw sound of what was to come, occasionally even being quite melodic while retaining a very distinct sense of darkness. Pulse Legion was formed in 1996 in Hawaii by John Ricker and Samuel P, although within a year they had relocated to Los Angeles and ascquired a third member - Jason DM. Together these three electronic musicians created synthetic dance music at its best, and soon were picked up by COP International Records for the release of their debut recording - 1997's "Evolve".
