Curtis DuBois Fuller (born in Detroit, December 15, 1934) is a United States jazz trombonist. Fuller's parents were Jamaican and died when he was young, so as a result he was raised in an orphanage. While in Detroit he was a schoolfriend of Paul Chambers and Donald Byrd, and also knew Tommy Flanagan, Thad Jones and Milt Jackson. After army service between 1953 and 1955 (when he played in a band with Chambers and brothers Cannonball and Nat Adderley), Fuller joined the quintet of Yusef Lateef, another Detroit musician. In 1957 the quintet moved to New York, and Fuller recorded...

The Stoney Curtis Band is a power trio from Los Angeles, USA. Originally from Chicago, Stoney Curtis formed the SCB in 1995. Curtis' passion for '60s and '70s hard rock as well as soul and funk doesn't decrease the amount of blues feeling that he brings to ballsy, hard-rocking selections like "Black Rose," "Girlfriend," "American Lady," and "That's Right" -- not at all. Curtis, who wrote or co-wrote all of the material, employs a wealth of blues feeling and blues imagery. Mainstays on the Blues and Rock circuit, an award winning band that includes, "Best Blues/Rock Band" in 1999 and...
When Shannon Curtis was 5, she danced and sang along to her dad playing 40’s-era standards on her family’s baby grand. When she was 7, her classical piano teacher told her she played like a boy. When she was 9, she sang into her hairbrush pretending to be Amy Grant. Just out of college, she shirked her pre-med Biology degree and made an earnest effort as the lead singer in a guitar-based rock band. Two years ago she found her piano again, started writing love songs, and quit the band. Since then she says it’s been like walking around in...
John Wesley Harding (b. 22 October 1965) is a folk/pop singer-songwriter who has called his style of music "folk noir" and "gangsta folk". He was born Wesley Stace in Hastings, East Sussex, England. His given name, Wesley, comes from John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, who preached one of his last sermons in the town where Harding was born. His stage name may be seen as an almost inevitable nickname for a folk-pop musician, in that his first name overlaps with the Bob Dylan album (and song) "John Wesley Harding". The American gunfighting historical figure John Wesley Hardin was largely...
