Pink Turns Blue are an influential band from Cologne, Germany. Formed in 1985, they quickly put out their first LP, If Two Worlds Kiss expressing a sound reminiscent of New Wave with very dark undertones and use of synthesisers, only to become one of the pioneers of the developing sub-genre of darkwave. Turnstyle, of Perth, Western Australia, are an indie quartet, made up of PJ, Adem K and Dean. Songs 'Spray Water on the Stereo' and 'I'm a Bus' received airplay on Triple J in the late nineties and made it into the Hottest 100 in 1999. They released 2 EPs, 3 Albums and multiple singles. Their album Turnstyle Country was Hype magazine's 'album of the year' in 1999. They supported many local and international acts including Guided by Voices, Trans Am, They Might be Giants, Ben Lee, Stereolab, Bikini Kill, Regurgitator, Custard and Jebadiah. .

The artistname may refer to a Norwegian act led by Anders Tjore or a band from Novosibirsk in the Russian Federation. The Norwegians released their long-awaited debutalbum Out in January 2011. More than four years in the making, it is an album equally written as one piece as a sequence of songs. Musicians from Cato Salsa Experience, BigBang, Salvatore and The Lionheart Brothers participate on the album. Saturnshine initially began as a side project for Christian Mesiano during the winter of 1998. It provided a vehicle for his love of early 80s new wave pop and early 90s dream pop as well as environmental soundscapes, ambient music and film scoring. In 1999, the first self-titled "Saturnshine EP" was recorded. Shortly thereafter, Saturnshine was put on hold to work on several other band related projects.
