Dementor is a brutal death metal band from Slovakia. They formed in 1988 and have released five impressive full length albums ("The Church Dies" - 1994, "Kill The Thought On Christ" – 1997, "The Art Of Blasphemy" - 1998, "Enslave The Weak" - 2001, "God Defamer" - 2004, "Faithless 2009 and Damned 2011). DEMENTOR started its existence as a three piece band in August 1988. The first line up was: Roman Lukac-guitar, Lubos Gazdik-bass and his brother Roman-drums. At the beginning they produced typical thrash/death metal influenced by early bands such as VENOM, Slayer, Possessed, Kreator, Celtic Frost , Death....

Dr. Demento (born April 2, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is the stage name of Barret Hansen [1], who has made a successful career as a radio disc jockey specializing in novelty songs and pop music parodies. He created the persona in 1970 while working at Los Angeles station KPPC-FM. Legend has it, after Hansen played "Transfusion" by Nervous Norvus on the radio, someone said that he had to be demented to play that. Thereafter, the name stuck.
