Silenzium was created in 2004 by young musicians from Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society. Silenzium is a classical string quartet with the addition of a contrabass and a drum set, which breaks all the stereotypes about a traditional sound of a string band. The musicians search for the most varying types of sounds of their instruments, from elevated classics to hard alternative. The repertoire of the band consists from rock versions of classical pieces by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Grieg, Prokofiev and many other composers.
