EPMD is an American hip-hop music group from Brentwood, New York, active from 1987 to 1999, reuniting in 2006; one of the prominent acts in East coast hip hop. As a departure from his previous Hyperterminal sound, John Dalling launched his JMD project with "New Beginning", a track produced in Autumn 2003 but not released online until 2004.
