MINNAARS ARE DEAD! The members split in order to work on other musical projects. Minnaars were formed by Neil Shaun Humphrey in early 2008, after leaving the now defunct Try Harder Records (Foals, Blood Red Shoes) flagship band "Tired Irie"; adding Gavin Thorpe, Daniel Faulkner, singer Adam Pickering and drummer Ben Cropley At their first ever show, supporting Cats and Cats and Cats in Leicester, the band were approached by Tom Woodhead of ¡Forward, Russia! with reference to letting Woodhead record and produce the band. Woodhead would go on to be pivotal in their development. The first EP, titled Minnaars...
Minna Frimodig is a Finnish pop singer that took part in the Finnish Idols in 2005. She sang the theme song for a Finnish movie called "Rölli". Her debut single "Elävänä haudattu" (Buried alive) was released in 2008. .
