Growing up on Princeton Street in Santa Monica, twin brothers Jesse & Matt Kivel and childhood friend Ben Usen started playing together as a group in the late 90’s, but officially formed Princeton during a year long stay in London in 2005. With the addition of drummer David Kitz, the band first gained attention in 2008 with the conceptual four-song Bloomsbury EP, a breezy dance-pop confection about the imaginative group of British intellectuals. The Princeton Nassoons are one of the world's finest collegiate performance ensembles. Founded in 1941, we have sung our signature four-, five-, and six-part harmonies alongside the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, the Lettermen, and Ben Folds. We tour the globe three times a year, sharing our music, dancing, and jokes with audiences that have included three U.S. presidents, the King and Queen of Jordan, vacationers in Cancun, screaming school children in Taiwan, and socialites in Monte Carlo. Sometimes incorrectly referred to as Princeton Reverbs Colonial, this quintet from New Hampshire released two critically lauded but commercially ignored indie rock records in the early 2000s before quietly splitting up. The band recorded their first two releases for vocalist Paul Vittum's own record label before hooking up with Bill Doss of The Olivia Tremor Control for their second proper full-length, 'Ring the Pair-of-Bells', which was released in 2002.
