The Piano Guys are an American musical group consisting of musicians Jon Schmidt (pianist) and Steven Sharp Nelson (cellist) as well as behind-the-scenes collaboration from Tel Stewart (videographer/editor), Paul Anderson (producer/videographer) and Al van der Beek (music producer). The group was formed in 2011 in St. George, Utah, United States. They became famous through YouTube, where they posted videos of renditions and mashups of popular songs accompanied by professional-looking video shots. DJ Solo is a member of the Los Angeles-based collective of artists known as the Soul Assassins which includes hip-hop legends Cypress Hill along with the DJ Muggs, super producer Alchemist and the world famous tattoo artist Mister Cartoon. Recently, DJ Solo teamed up with producer Roger Jao to create a masterpiece mix made up entirely of the essentials of the hair band era called "Hair Metal Hero," which can be downloaded for free.
