The Lashes are a Seattle-based power pop band. The band formed in Seattle in 2000. In 2004, the Lashes made their recording debut with the Stupid Stupid EP produced by John Goodmanson and released on Berkeley, California-based Lookout! Records. Sold-out shows with The Libertines and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists followed that same year. Before the year's end, the Lashes joined producer John Goodmanson for the recording of their debut album. Takes the best aspects of an array of genres – the gauzy production of shoegaze, the distant and reverb-drenched vocals of dream pop, the pulsing beat of dance music, the atmospheric production of ambient electronic – and melds them into something uniquely special.
