Tristram may refer to several artists. 1. Tristram is the abandoned moniker of a Swedish solo musician who recorded a demo during 2006-2007, which was later released as a full-length on the label Elitmusik. 2. Tristram is four people from London playing seven (usually) instruments, and singing about a variety of subjects, including but not limited to: zombies, James Dean, assorted authors, love stories, love-going-wrong stories, ships, bicycles, astral travel and fruit. Tristram Cary is a British composer and an early pioneer in electronic music and musique concrete. Cary was educated at Westminster School in London, England and is the son of a pianist and the novelist, Joyce Cary, author of Mister Johnson. While working as a radar engineer for the British Navy during World War II, he independently developed his own conception of electronic and tape music. After the war he travelled around Europe to meet the small numbers of other early pioneers of electronic music and composition.
