X Japan drummer and pianist (Yoshiki)'s current solo project. While no official release were marketed prior to 2005, the original idea for Violet UK had already been thought off in early 1997 before X Japan disbanded. Yoshiki planned on releasing the first album in 2002. Unfortunate incidents (hide's death) and his general obsession with perfection pushed back that release date. Ornatos Violeta were an influential Portuguese alternative rock group whose music was informed as much by jazz and ska as the dominant guitar rock format of the time. The band was formed in the city of Porto, in 1991. Go Violets were an Australian indie-pop band from Brisbane, Queensland. The band was formed in 2011, and consisted of vocalist/guitarist Phoebe Imhoff, guitarist/drummer Alice Rezende, bassist Harriette Pilbeam and drummer/guitarist Ruby McGregor.
