Losalios is an instrumental band from Japan which plays a mix somewhere between Jazz, Rock, Punk and Avant-garde which could be considered Math rock. Losalios was started by Tatsuya Nakamura, drummer for Blankey Jet City, as a solo project called "Love Shop Losalios" in 1996. His first work was "GABIRU", recorded in a room of an abandoned hotel. While Nakamura created all sounds for these recordings himself, he was joined in 1999 by other musicians such as 浅井健一 (Asai Ken’ichi, ex BJC), Toshiyuki Terui (ex BJC), Ken Morioka and members of 東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ for the first release under the name Losalios...
Amelia Cuni was born in Milan, Italy and lived in India for more than 10 years learning dhrupad singing from renowned masters (i.e. Rahim Fahimuddin Dagar, Bidur Mallik and Pandit Dilip Chandra Vedi). She also studied kathak dance and pakhawaj drumming. Amelia started performing internationally in 1987. Since 1992, Amelia Cuni is based in Berlin, Germany. She has recorded for radio and TV productions, and her music is featured on several solo CDs and collaborations. Amelia's projects are of traditional and experimental orientation as well.
