Omega Tribe was an English anarcho-punk band, formed in the early 1980s in Barnet, North London. Their first EP, "Angry Songs", was produced by Crass Records in 1982. Queens of the Stone Age is a rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States. The band is frequently labeled stoner rock, although they reject the label. Beequeen is a duo from Nijmegen, Netherlands, formed by Frans de Waard (Freiband, Kapotte Muziek, Goem, Zèbra, Shifts, Post Destruction Music, etc.) and Freek Kinkelaar (Brunnen, The Beautiful Glassbottom Boat). 1986年、前オメガトライブに在籍していた高島信二（ギター）、西原俊次（キーボード）に加え、新たに日系ブラジル人のカルロス・トシキ、菊池桃子、岩崎宏美のバックバンド（パイナップル・カンパニー）でギターを担当していた黒川照家を迎えて、プロデューサー藤田の第2弾プロジェクト『1986オメガトライブ』（ナインティーンエイティシックス - ）としてデビュー。 1988年3月、黒川がバンドを脱退する。グループ名を『カルロス・トシキ&オメガトライブ』に変更する。 改名の理由として、「黒川が脱退した以上、1986オメガトライブではなくなった」ことと、「（1986という）ネーミングが古くなってきた」ことが挙げられている。 なお、改名に当たってスタッフとしては「もっとカルロスを全面に押し出したい」という意向があったが、本人たちは「あくまでも3人のバンドである」と考えていたため、スタッフの思惑通りにはいかなかったようである。 1988年7月、レコーディングにコーラスとして参加していたジョイ・マッコイが正式に加入する。 1990年、ワーナーパイオニアへ移籍(カルロス・トシキ&オメガトライブ名義で発売された全て楽曲は、原盤権がワーナーパイオニア（現・ワーナーミュージック・ジャパン）に譲移された)。松任谷由実が作詞・作曲した「時はかげろう」を発表後、ファイナルツアーを行い、1991年3月16日日清パワーステーションでのライブを最後に解散する。1990年12月14日放送の『ミュージックステーション』（テレビ朝日系）にて解散発表を行った。 2005年3月9日、ファンサイトの呼びかけを中心とした署名活動により、発売された楽曲[12]が全曲[13]収録されたCD＋PVや『歌のトップテン』に出演した時の映像を納めたDVDを収めた『COMPLETE BOX "Our Graduation"』を発売する。 代表曲は「君は1000%」（1986オメガトライブ）「アクアマリンのままでいて」（カルロス・トシキ&オメガトライブ）など。 .
