Very heavily influenced by the orange county hardcore scene, their music, message, style, and sound can perhaps be compared to bands like Bleeding Through and Throwdown. L.A. Guns is the name of a glam metal group from Los Angeles, California. The current version is led by vocalist Phil Lewis with drummer Steve Riley. The Pretty Blue Guns are a South African garage/indie/blues band. They have 3 official releases: Dirt EP (2008), Cutting Heads (2009) and Shed Your Skin (2011) The title track of their most recent album "Shed Your Skin" reached number 1 on 5fm's local rock chart, as well as number 1 on MK (South African music TV)'s alternative music top ten.
