There are at least four bands called PVC. One being a German Punk Band, the second one a Norwegian New Wave band, a Belgian HipHop formation, and one of the alias of dutch hardcore techno producers Dano & No Sweat. In addition, Ari J. Ruokamo has releases under the same name.

Together with Male, PVC were one of the first German punk bands, founded in 1977. However, they did not release an LP until 1983, their self-titled album PVC. Dissolved in 1984, PVC reunited in 1988 and definitely dissolved in 1991.

The Norwegian band PVC (Poly Vinyl Chlorid) started out in april 1980 and was one of the first bands in Norway to start their own label. During their short carrier spanning from 1980 to 1982 they released three 7" and two mini-albums. Their most re-known members where Bitten Forsudd (now one of three members of Einmal Kommt Die Liebe and Eivind Rølles of the former Norwegian pop-group The Monroes. They started out with roots in punk and new wave but ended up as more of a synthbased rock-band.

PVC was also a belgian HipHop formation founded in Zedelgem, West-Vlaanderen. It was formed by 4 MC's and one DJ. MC Chinese, MC Behavia, MC Etcetera, MC Lapin and DJ Unbelievable. They had one CD called 'De Probatie' containing 11 tracks and 2 bonus tracks on the first ten CD's. The group has splitted because of a lack of time to work on their music.

Techno hardcore PVC : Dano & No Sweat released 65-47-3 on the compilation "Thunderdome VIII" under the name PVC in 1995. .
