In 2008, longtime collaborators Jim Grundy (Re:Enactment, Subsea) and Greg Reason (Ektoise, Departures) were invited to perform a live score for a silent German Expressionist film at Brisbane’s prestigious Gallery of Modern Art. Pleased with the results, they proceeded to record, process and rearrange the material they devised for the screening and ended up with a lush, expansious ambient record entitled Alluvium.

The album was downloaded by music lovers in scores of countries and even inspired Underworld’s Karl Hyde to post a link to the group’s website from UnderworldLive.com after hearing the record in June 2009. Fusing the ethereal synthesized soundscapes of Grundy’s solo material with Reason’s trademarked guitar clouds, Tetra provide a haunting aside from the hustle and bustle; music to dream to, to lose yourself in.
