There are at least four known bands with the name Magneto. 1) Magneto was a superstar Mexican boy band in the 1980s and 1990s. In 1986, Magneto was featured in "Siempre en Domingo," a Spanish entertainment show viewed across Latin America and parts of Europe. The group's biggest international hit, "Vuela, Vuela," was a Spanish-language version of Desireless' "Voyage, Voyage." The clasic Magneto lineup -- Alex, Alan, Charlie, Mauri and Elias -- recorded four albums together between 1989 and 1993. Magnetophone are Birmingham natives Matt Huish Saunders and John Hanson. Friends since childhood, as boys they would often be found under water, weighed down by bricks and playing Stylophones. Displaying a gift for linguistic manipulation which has continued to sustain their career, they named this ritual the "Alpha Beti Bon-Tempi Underwater Electro-Hydro Sound-Fusion". Matt and John's first vinyl appearance, "You Should Write Music", was on the Earworm label. "Mr. Magneto aka Marat Schacht, was born in Kamchatka, Russia and moved to Germany 1992. In the year 2000, he began collecting vinyls and djing which turned into a serious addiction! Powered and inspired by the big DJ's playing the big events, Marat soon found himself spinning at festivals like Nature One in Germany and Queens Day in Amsterdam. His dj sets are based on new electronic influences as well as old school and atmospheric sounds. Magneton was a Hungarian-Romanian (2 ethnic Hungarian and 3 ethnic Romanian members) pop/rock band from Oradea/Nagyvárad, Romania. They had two releases on vinyl in the communist era: "Jó fiú leszek" ("I'm Gonne Be a Good Boy"), with Hungarian lyrics, apparently recorded in 1971, released in 1985 and and "Rock express", with Romanian lyrics, released in 1983.
