Alone Architect is Jeff Feldman.

Hailing from Montreal, Canada and formerly part of progressive rock band Pulse Ultra; songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Feldman spent a fair amount of time post Pulse Ultra re-discovering and reinventing his approach on making music. The result is new project and self titled EP, Alone Architect.

Alone Architect's dark soundscapes represent not only Feldman's eclectic taste in music, film and art but also bring into focus his prowess as a songwriter, musician and for the first time, producer. "I've built this whole thing from the ground up and put all of my being into it. The paths to take haven't always been obvious; but I'm addicted to the process of creation and I think it's very important for artists to be as self-sufficient as possible in these times.", says Feldman. "I definitely wanted these songs to sound dynamic and have a gravity to them, while still being intimate, emotional and vulnerable. I wanted to reflect the darkness that surrounds us at moments in our lives, the struggle to be content within yourself, to find what resonates.... To connect to the emotional dichotomy of life. The last thing I believe art should do; is leave people feeling indifferent. I feel that I've achieved a great balance of all these elements, on this record."

Comprised of a heavy electronic foundation, Alone Architect encompasses elements ranging from classical to rock to world music, all while retaining the dynamic attitude of progression and evolution. Multi layered, deeply mesmerizing sounds, textures and pulsating rhythmic soundscapes permeate the very fibre of these visceral, dark and emotionally revealing songs... Songs that will haunt your thoughts with vivid imagery and recollections of emotions seemingly lost, buried or long forgotten.

Whether it's Feldman's abstract, haunting use of vocal effects leading the charge, or guest performances by one-of-a-kind singer Elsieanne Caplette (of Elsiane) and intense yet subdued Angela Boismenu; the story that is Alone Architect unfolds continuously, cohesively propelling forward with focused energy and intent. "I see this record as being akin to a film or even a novel. There is a definite mood to it. And there's a narrative that is being told, with different voices or characters; from different perspectives. But they all serve the purpose of propelling the story and of enhancing the music", says Feldman. "There are so many possibilities out there and a never ending pool of inspiration. In my mind, I'm already 500 steps ahead and this is only the beginning!"

And the beginning is here. Listen, you might just like it. .
