Coby Obiesie (born in Inglewood, California), better known simply as Cobe Obeah, is an American Emcee/Songwriter/Producer. Growing up Cobe fell in love with music played by his parents that consisted of tunes like, Fela Kuti, Sade, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, and Michael Jackson. Listening to various artists helped his creativity at the tender age of seven, and at age twelve he began to discover his writing skills and began writing songs. Cobe's parents did not advocate his serious interest in music as he grew up into a young man, but rather pushed him to focus on his academics. Knowing that his parents would not like the idea of making music, Cobe kept his musical lifestlye away from his parents, until his parents learned to except his desires to produce music.

Cobe has many influences in his life, and with his wide variety of influences, he raps and sings about a mixture of topics such as good times, oppression, street life, love, girls, black culture, and personal struggles. Cobe reveals his versatility and unique artistic ability by singing and rapping on a variety of beats from his own in house producers.
