National is an experimental electronic duo Agnaldo Mori (teclados e efeitos) and Glauco Félix (teclados, guitarra, DJ efeitos) from Sao Paulo, Brazil. They work with all kinds of homemade experimentations with music. With many different instruments, lots of keyboards and synthesizers, guitars, pianos, computers, sequencers, samplers and voice effects, they produce an unclassifiable and eclectic electronic sound. They are extremely eccentric and they do everything themselves, on their own homes and on their own equipment, from the compositions and recordings to the production of the CDs and the jewel boxes and the sleeves. The duo has been together for some years and they've done pretty much everything: porn soundtracks, novelty songs and parodies, more 'traditional' electronic dance music, idm, downtempo, breakbeat, braindance, all things always with a concept behind it. In 2001 they released their first piece of work, a disket-single, followed by two records, Disket-Delay and Insonia, the former all with ambient sounds and the latter built upon the concept of sleep. In the beginning of 2002, National came back with a revolutionary project: nine CDs at once, each one with a very complex concept behind it. Then and there were born records like the genius conceptual tribute to John Cage's 4"33', the bizarre compilations Sampler Vírus 1 and 2, the compilation of 'forbidden songs' Plunderphonics All-stars, one record totally devoted to the ideas of the philosopher Pierre Lévy and more 'serious' works, like Música para Mulheres Mutantes, C+A, Cinco e CD.
