Nord'N'Commander is a well-known unlabellable band from Voronezh, Russia.

Firstly they released two demos ("Солночь" & "В состоянии холодного лба") in 2000-2001 under the name "Вантит". Their sound on these demos can be described as lo-fi darkwave/military pop.

The first album of Nord'N'Commander was called "Sacred Spear Aftersounds" (released by Ur-Realist Records in 2001). It feature raw "blackened metal" sound with some folk influences.

The second album ("Heavenly Barrow", 2002) don't sounds like any metal, but like lo-fi industrial/electro-gothic. Many songs from this album ("Sonnenmensch" and "Blood of the Virgin Girl", for example) received a very positive response from the fans.

Nord'N'Commander's last album is called "Hermeneutics" (2004), and the upcoming album would be named "Vele".

They also have an unreleased album "Maps Of Shadow Travelling", which is available for free download in mp3. Nord'N'Commander also recorded many cover songs, including "Brothers Of Metal" (originally by Manowar), and "My Immortal" (originally by Evanescence).

On April 23, 2009, NORD'N'COMMANDER members took the decision to disband the project. At present and in future all speculations without exception about causes of the disbandment in internet and printed sources (including speculations on behalf of N'N'C members, their friends, acquaintances, like-minded fellows etc.) are deliberate disinformation if corresponding information is not published on the official website http://nordncommander.com .
