Roundstone is an English rock band from London. The band was formed in 2006 as Babygrand and consists of Dominic Scott (vocals,guitar), Alistair Watson (keyboards), Andrew Morgan (bass), and Benjamin Salmon (drums). They were named after the Irish village in Connemara, County Galway because of their fondness of the west of Ireland.
Forming the band
Dominic Scott took a break from music after leaving the band Keane in 2001 to do an MA in Economics from the London School of Economics. Whilst staying at Goodenough College he composed and arranged rock songs with his friend and a classical composer Andrew Morgan. They were joined by Alistair Watson, a concert pianist and later by Benjamin Salmon to form the band "Babygrand." The first concert was in May 2006 at the Electroacoustic Club in London featuring an additional string quartet but line-up soon developed into a more standard rock form. .
