Klaas Hilverda is a DJ from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is a flight purser (for KLM?) which earns him a living when not mixing or doing gigs around the globe.
My guess is that DJing started as a hobby and through his travels to foreign countries, he met some people who were delighted by his mixes. On some occasion, Santito was asked to fill in a spot at a local club, restaurant or gig and he started earning his wings as a DJ. Now, he plans his work so that doing a gig here and there can be fit in. Next to giving him his needed rest fro his work schedule as a purser, it also gives hi something to do in the place where he is at that moment.
2007 gave him his residence in the famous Amsterdam Escape, where he hosted a regular party on Sundays, called Shape@Escape. 2008 marks his breakthrough with the first official release by Santito "Can't Take My Hands Off You". Various mixes already exist and in the first week of his release, Santito climbed to the #20 spot in the Beatport Top 100.
Santito was resident for many Little Sins parties and later also at 'In Touch with' series hosted at Beachclub Vroeger in Bloemendaal and the Pier in Scheveningen.
In 2010 Santito seems to be breaking through with various remixes of his tracks played by famous DJs and heard on dance radio stations such as radio538.nl and fresh.fm. Beatport also has many of his commercial tracks and mixes.
