Spamtec is comprised of YTCracker, eGod, and Phlow. The lyrics in the music are from a collection of personal experiences between the three group members, and while some of the songs appear on the outside to be incredibly outlandish and embellished to great heights, the members of the group maintain that most of it does indeed come from true stories. Most, if not all, of Spamtec's songs focus on spam and being an internet entrepreneur. They rap about activities such as blowing out people's inboxes, mailing pills, porn, mortgage leads, and payday loans; and creating botnets. Their music is said to have been an inspiration to many people.

The group had their first official release in 2004 with "STC is the Greatest", an allusion to their moniker Spamtec Crew. The album begins with a clip from the TechTV show "The Screen Savers" from back in the early 2000s where eGod called in and talked with the hosts, providing them with a pseudonym "John" and a story about how he is a 16 year old spammer making over $1000 a day.

2005 saw the release of "Still the Greatest" featuring four voicemails from acquaintance Bis1 that contained death threats over an apparent misunderstanding that both groups were having around the time that this album was being put together, with the situation apparently being resolved in voicemail 4.

Since that there has been no official Spamtec album release. YTCracker went on to create a series of successful solo albums, with one of his own songs appearing on a commercial for cable TV channel G4. Some of their songs since then being released individually, and also with some songs appearing on the mix tape "______ Every Day" featuring YTCracker and Hairetsu.
