The Ambassadors of Sorrow believe in the beauty of sad songs. They live somewhere wild and strange in Cornwall. Influences include traditional English folk music, doowop, beat pop and rockabilly via 1960s France. They cite their influences as tall trees, high seas, solitary windswept walks, nostalgia, and the work of Edward Gorey.

Their sound has been described by Steve Lamacq as, 'intriguing... and strangely comforting', by Mark Lamarr as 'very fine stuff', and has been played on 6 Music by Gideon Coe and Lauren Laverne. First album 'Easterly' was chosen as iTunes album of the week, & second album 'There is no Ending' was album of the week on BBC Radio Cornwall's David White Show. The Ambassadors of Sorrow have also provided original music for two independent films.

The Ambassadors of Sorrow are: Angeline Morrison (vocals, autoharp, melodica, melodeon, glockenspiel, rhythm guitar, songwriting); Jess Carter (drums); Craig Waite (electric bass guitar) and Kris Dollimore (electric/acoustic guitar).
