The Von Duesz are a three-piece band from Bielefeld, DE, which performs live music for the club!
What they play is electronic music with keys, saxophone, drums, effects and percussion - without samples or computers! A fusion of Kraut and Electronic, House and Bauhaus - TANZKRAUT. No room for intellectualism or pre-defined structures. Instead: a naked, intuitive and immersed search for the hypnotic DJ-set without records, a search for the flow.
The seduction of eternally vibrating club music is huge, but even bigger is the urge to break with its
inmost techniques: Analogue synthesizers instead of computer technology! Live-performed improvisation instead of pre-produced samples and loops! Realtime-composition instead of endless studio work! That's The Von Duesz.
The bands was formed in 2009, it's lineup consits of Henning Rice (synthesizers and Rhodes piano, Florian Schäffer (drums and drumpads) and Ismail Özgentürk (saxophone, vocals, percussion, electronics)
