Am 11. August 1998 wurde Korona geboren und entwickelte sich schnell zu einem der spektakulärsten Live-Acts überhaupt – mit einem Sound, wie ihn Europa bis dato nicht kannte.
Nach einer Schaffenspause hat sich Korona in 2008 neu formiert. Mit frischen Kräften an den Gitarren, am Bass und einem zusätzlichen E-Drummer vollzieht die Band nun also eine große Weiterentwicklung ihres unvergleichlichen Sounds.

Weiterhin präsentieren Korona ihre Songs im City Speak der Sprachen, mit denen sie aufwuchsen. Konsequent und unbeirrt wandeln sie in ihrer unverwechselbaren Art und Weise auf den Pfaden des Alternative Rock. Vielerlei Einflüsse aus Nu Metal, Grunge, Pop, Punk, Drum’n’Bass und anderen Elektro-Stilrichtungen scheinen unverkennbar - doch Korona folgen niemandem. Sie gehen voran.
Wie ein Tornado fegten Korona über die Musiklandschaft hinweg: Auftritte mit Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, (hed)p.e., Mudvayne, Ill Nino, Static X, Him, Papa Roach, Tool u.a., Stationen wie Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, usw. pflastern ihren Weg: "Korona sind der Gewinner des Festivals. Sie eröffneten das Event und sprengten das Zelt", ließ MTV verlauten und Popkomm-TV sprach sogar vom "fettesten Act, den das Talent Forum je gesehen hat."
Die hart erarbeiteten Lorbeeren sind ein Grund mehr für Korona die eigene Identität einzubringen und zu zeigen, dass guter "Rock" überall rund um den Globus gemacht wird und nicht nur in den Markt diktierenden USA. Diese Hartnäckigkeit bescherte den Koronaz schließlich Nummer 1-Hits in den Alternative Rock- und Metal-Internet-Charts von Deutschland, Italien, Frankreich, Griechenland, Spanien und auch den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika.

Das Leben ist Chaos - und Nichts ist berechenbar. Aber alles findet seinen Weg durch die Leidenschaft der Musik.
Und so ist Korona wie die Hoffnung eines Neuanfangs, der die Stille durchbricht und letztlich nur eines fordert: Movement!

Korona was born on August 11th in 1998 and became one of the most spectacular live acts ever very quickly - packed with a sound that Europe never heard before.
After a break Korona has been formed to a new band in 2008. With new forces on the guitars, on the bass and an additional E-Drummer the band makes a great development of its incomparable sound right now.
Furthermore Korona throw their songs in your face in the “City-Speak” of the languages which they grew up with.With their distinctive manner Korona marches on the trails of alternative rock consequently and determined. Nu metal, grunge, pop, punk, drum ‘n’bass and other electronic genre seem to be unmistakable influences, but Korona do not follow anyone - they go ahead.
Korona hit the stages like a tornado: Gigs with Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, (hed)p.e., Mudvayne, Ill Nino, Static X, Him, Papa Roach, Tool and others, festival stations like Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, etc. are paving their way. MTV announced "Korona is the winner of this festival. They opened and blew the tent up" and Popkomm-TV even talked about "the most awesome act that ever played in the Talent Forum of Rock am Ring".
The honestly taken credits are motivation once more for Korona to bring in their own identity and show that good rock music is made all over the world and not in the market controlling US only. With this doggedness the Koronaz finally made profit and achieved plenty no.1 hits of the rock and metal internet charts in Germany, Italy, France, Greece, Spain as well as in the United States of America.
