Buffy Sainte-Marie (* 20. Februar 1941) ist eine kanadische Musikerin, Komponistin, Darstellende Künstlerin, Lehrerin und Sozialaktivistin indianischer Abstammung. Ihr Geburtsort ist das Cree-Reservat im Tal des Qu'Appelle Flusses in der kanadischen Provinz Saskatchewan. Später wurde sie adoptiert und wuchs in den US-Bundesstaaten Maine und Massachusetts auf.
