Flora Purim (* 6. März 1942 in Rio de Janeiro, Brasilien) ist eine brasilianische Jazz-Sängerin. Leben und Werk: Purim stammt aus einer musikalischen Familie, ihre Mutter war eine brasilianische Pianistin, die ihr die Liebe zur Jazz-Musik vermittelte, der in Rumänien geborene jüdische Vater war Violinist und achtete auf eine Erziehung in klassischer Musik. Sie begann mit 4 klassisches Piano zu lernen und mit 12 akustische Gitarre. Mit einer (nach späterer Ausbildung) 6 Oktaven umfassenden Stimme begabt trat sie aber auch als Sängerin auf.
