ITAITAIKO is the project of Itay Berger (aka Kukan Dub Lagan). Itay is 31 years old and comes from Jerusalem/Israel. He started listening to trance music since he was 16 years old. Besides going to parties he sometimes also worked at parties as a sound engineer. His decision to make music was strongly inflenced by his trip to Ibiza in 1997-8 and visited Juan's (Muses Rapt) studio. Taikoza (太鼓座) is a New York-based Japanese Taiko drum and dance ensemble that uses the deep and powerful rhythms of the Taiko drums, stringed instruments, metal percussion and bamboo flutes to create an electrifying energy and a highly visual musical art form. TaikOz is a percussion - largely taiko - ensemble based in Sydney, Australia. The ensemble was founded in 1997 by Ian Cleworth and shakuhachi dai-shihan, grand master Riley Lee. The group now features eight performers, all exponents of wadaiko, or Japanese drumming. TaikOz performs year-round, as well as providing classes to interested members of the public. The ensemble has released three CDs: Taiko No Sekai, Live At Angel Place (a live recording, also released on DVD) and Daichi... Big Earth.
