The music of Sam Shepherd aka Floating Points first appeared on most people's radars when Benji B and Gilles Peterson started playing demo versions of his music back in 2008. In February 2009, the first Floating Points record appeared in the shops, the double A-side 7" of 'For You'/'Radiality' on Eglo Records, a new label started by Sam himself alongside Rinse FM's Alexander Nut. A month later the 'Love Me Like This' 12" came out on R2 Records and proceeded to cause mayhem on dancefloors across the UK, Europe and beyond, going on to become one of the defining tracks...

Aural Float wurde Anfang der Neunziger Jahre als gemeinsames Projekt von Gabriel Le Mar, Alex Azary und Pascal FEOS gegründet. Seitdem haben die Pioniere des Ambient die Geschichte der deutschen Chillout- und Lounge-Musik mitbestimmt. So können Aural Float nicht nur auf drei Alben und eine Vielzahl von Remixes für Paul van Dyk, ich+ich, a-ha, Xavier Naidoo oder Juli zurückblicken. Death By Milkfloat were a trio of art students based in Hull, North East England. Their sound shifts are emblematic of the band's own rips along the post-punk/avant-garde divide.
