Grupo de rock progresivo de origen polaco. Su líder y fundador Mirek Gil ha sido miembro de las bandas más notorias de este género en Polonia. Guitarrista de sesión en Quidamen su formación inicial, miembro fundador de Collage la cuál cuando presentó su primer ruptura Gil se distancia formando Satellite debutando en el primer álbum de la banda para luego al involucrarse con ex integrantes de Collage formando BELIEVE. Believer se formó en Colebrook, Pennsylvania en 1986 por el baterista Joey Daub y guitarrista-cantante Kurt Bachman. La banda fue acompañada por Howe Kraft (bajo) y David Baddorf (guitarra). Comenzaron tocando metal melódico y editaron una demo The return en 1987. Más tarde, Believer cambia su estilo a thrash metal, como la banda dijo: "Nos dimos cuenta de que podíamos escribir thrash mejor de lo que podríamos escribir otra cosa".
Cuando se le preguntó si se consideran una "creyente banda cristiana" Daub respondió en el 2009: "Bueno, sí, y no ... este es un tema difícil de abordar para nosotros....

Reason to Believe were the most atypical of the mid-late 1980's Southern California hardcore bands. Their lyrics were poetic and talked about personally meaningful topics like love and respect for women, and poetry itself, and stood apart from the obtuse LA-NYC scene warfare double-talk, and anthemy finger-pointing songs of the day, they were more influenced by DC bands than by any of their local peers. However, this doesn't mean they did not play anthems which invoked many a pointed finger sing-along, these inspiring themes touched on the authentic eternal positive-life struggle.
