U.P.O. were an American post-grunge group from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1997 by vocalist Shawn Albro (Wicked Teaze) and guitarist Chris Weber (Hollywood Rose) after they met at England's Reading Festival. After a demo attracted major-label interest, they added bassist Ben Shirley and drummer Tommy Holt to the group's lineup.
After signing with Epic Records, they released debut album No Pleasantries, produced by Rick Parashar, in 2000. The albums lead singles, "Godless" and "Feel Alive", charted at numbers 5 and 25 respectively on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts. Real Name: Lutz Ludwig
Profile: Former DJ of Munich's "P1" club who started doing his own House Music releases in 1990 on Low Spirit Recordings in association with Klaus Jankuhn. His debut "Hell Or Heaven" made it straight to #2 in the national Italian charts. The follow-up "Keep It Up" reached the UK and US Dance & Disco charts and his 3rd release "So Hard" ended his success as a House Music artist (all with vocalist Cathy Adams).
After a break of 3 years he returned back in 1994 but focussed mainly on Trance Music but with less success.
