Hater fue una banda americana de rock de los 90, una banda bajo liderada por el ex-bajista de ^Soundgarden Ben Shepherd. El resto de la banda se compone por el ex-batería de Soundgarden, Matt Cameron, John McBain anteriormente enMonster Magnet), el bajista John Waterman, y Brian Wood, hermano del cantante Andrew Wood.
La banda ha editado dos albumes que mezclan psicodelía, garage rock y grunge. f psychedelic grunge/garage rock. Ambos discos fueron grabados en 1993 y 1995 respectivamente aunque su segundo album no vio la luz hasta el 2005. .
La banda australiana “Something For Kate" se formo en Melbourne en 1994.
