Playing for Change es un proyecto musical multimedia y también una fundación, ambos creados por iniciativa de Mark Johnson con el objectivo de reunir, grabar y filmar músicos de diferentes culturas. En marzo del 2005, el ingeniero de sonido y productor estadounidense Mark Johnson filmó y grabó al guitarrista y cantante estadounidense Roger Ridley en las calles de Santa Mónica, California cantando la canción Stand By Me. Fue entonces cuando decidió añadir otros músicos a esta misma canción: viajó a Barcelona, donde grabó, entre otros, a Clarence Bekker, y luego a Sudáfrica, a la India, a Nepal, a Oriente Próximo...

Sin duda una de las nuevas bandas que más ha dado que hablar en 2010. Su debut con Victory Records tuvo una muy buena acogida por el público y recibió críticas positivas, AP les incluyó en su lista de "las 100 bandas que DEBES conocer este 2010" y muchos les definen como los sucesores de A Day To Remember... .

Youri Donatz is a Dutch house DJ/Producer. At the age of 14 he made compilation tapes for family and friends. A few years later he bought 2 turntables and learned himself to mix records.
