Desert fue fundada en elaño 2002 por el guitarrista Max Shafranski en uno de los centros industriales y culturales de israel,la cuidad de Beer-Sheva.Elnombre de la banda fue escogido por una razon: se localizaen medio de lasarenas biblicas,donde moises guio a su gente,a la tierra prometida hace años. En el 2004 el vocalista Alexei Raymar y el tecladista Oleg Aryutkin(de solo 16 años en aquel entonces)seunieron a la banda y las cosas setornaron serias.Desert expandio su oferta musical despues de eso,mezclando tintes obscuros,con la influencia del power metal.En los años consecuentes,la banda grabo un demo "The Way to Honor" (2004)...
