What makes a good song great? It’s the ability to go beyond the realms of the norm and yet still ooze masses of hooks, pop sensibilities, and originality. Holland’s MeloManics have it all - and then some. The band’s debut album - entitled The Grey Light - is a sure-fire winner with anyone who knows what makes good music.

Jam-packed with electronica, rock and monstrous songs, MeloManics is a band that know how to turn heads. Redefining music as we know it by brilliantly combing synthpop and rock ‘n’ roll, MeloManics’ organic sound is one to behold and cherish.

Formed a mere four years ago, this Amsterdam trio - whose name literally means “a sickening love for music” - have been busy establishing themselves in their homeland.

Grabbing people’s attention not only through their music but also their strikingly slick, sharp-dressed appearance, MeloManics have already played to 300,000 people at the Parkpop festival and rocked the socks off punters at the Mysteryland and 5 Days Off festivals, as well as appearing at a prestigious fashion show in Paris, France.

Their ‘From The Factory’ EP, released in 2003, received critical acclaim as well as national radio airplay. But it will be the release of their debut full-length that sees MeloManics truly up the ante.

Packed to the hilt with infectious songs, 'The Grey Light' is a stunning piece of modern music that sees genres collide in spectacular fashion. Taking influences from the likes of Kraftwerk, Daftpunk, Zoot Woman, New Order, Faith No More, and Bloc Party, MeloManics are the band for anyone who loves a good tune - just as their name suggests!
