Né le 2 avril 1974, Alexis "HK", de son vrai nom Alexis Djoshkounian, commence dans la musique en travaillant comme parolier avec différents jazzmen. En 1997, il est repéré par le manager du label Musiques Hybrides, Olaf Hund. Il enregistre un premier CD, « Anti-héros notoire », sous le pseudonyme Alexis Hashka. S'ensuivront de nombreux concerts entre 1998 et 2000, accompagné par Mana Chabbey (contrebasse), Philippe Létang (basse, guitare), Peyo Lissarague (percussions, batterie) et les frères Riou : Marc (percussions, flûtes) et Grégoire (accordéon), ces deux derniers participant aussi au groupe Trad'Ouir.
