Experimental techno producer Miss Dinky (aka Dinky) (Alejandra Iglesias) was born in Chile, but she moved to New York in the mid-'90s to continue her studies in dance. Shortly after arriving in the States, she became further enamored with dance music and eventually began DJing in the N.Y.C. club scene. Alejandra Iglesias aka Dinky est d'origine chilienne et s'est faite connaître au sein d'un trio de DJettes résidentes du club Flamingo East à New York. The Dinky toys are a pop band which enjoyed significant success during the early 1990s with upbeat summer hits. They combined influences of reggea, ska, hip-hop and flamenco into their music. The Dinky Toys disbanded in 1995 but later reformed in 2017 for a comeback.
