Sun Control Species is Andrew Davidson (aka Drooid and Wombat), a progressive psytrance artist from Melbourne, Australia.
He has become a standard amongst the australian trance scene since the turn of the millenium. A fully accredited musician and engineer, working from '98 to 2000 as a commercial sound engineer and producer in Sydney, he eventually left to pursue his own music career. Dominant Patri were formed around 1982 and were vocalists Chris Jones and Kate Packwood, Steve Richards on bass, Paul 'Bugsy' Hugget on guitar, and Gary Pratten on drums. The name means 'Dominant Fortler' and comes from the latin 'In Nomine Patri' meaning our father which comes from the church. They chose it because they felt that the church was a dominant, corrupt part of society. One member of the band said 'The name says how the pope, priests and, bishops dominate the people's minds while they are at school'.

The eclectic San Francisco indie duo Dominant Legs features vocalist/guitarist Ryan Lynch and keyboardist/vocalist Hannah Hunt. Lynch, also the guitarist for Girls, began writing songs when he was fired from his job as an office assistant. He met Hunt through mutual friends, and the pair started playing together after she returned from her architecture studies in New York. They crafted a sound spanning cheery synth pop, folk, and electro-acoustic reveries, evoking artists such as Neon Indian at one moment and Arthur Russell the next.
