Propaganda est un groupe new wave doté de consonnances darkwave. C'est un groupe allemand formé à Düsseldorf en 1982 par Ralf Dörper et qui s'est fait un petit nom vers le milieu des années 1980 grâce, notamment, aux titres P:Machinery (chanté par Claudia Brücken), Dr. Mabuse et Duel, issus de l'album A secret wish. À noter que P:Machinery était le jingle de la radio Skyrock. Pagan Altar, formed 1976 by Alan and Terry Jones in Brockley, England. Alongside Witchfinder General, they are one of the few NWOBHM bands to play doom metal. Their gigs were characterised by moody, epic and heavy music interpreted with highly visual stage aspect which accented their interest for occult themes. Pagan Altar's only release from that era was independent, self-released, self-titled cassette which was in later years bootlegged. The Pagans are a punk band from Cleveland, Ohio which formed in 1977 and disbanded in 1979, with a 1986 reunion tour since. The original members included Mike Hudson, lead vocals; Brian Hudson, drums and backing vocals; Mike Metoff, guitar and backing vocals; and Tim Allee, bass. The second line up originating from 1982-1983 included Mike Hudson, lead vocals; Bob Richey, Drums; Mike "Tommy Gun" Metoff, Lead Guitar; Robert Conn, Bass, who now fronts Texas based Chelsea Hotel; Chas Smith, Keyboards.
