Introducing Sadie Ama. Born Mersadie Louise Hall on 19th August 1987. This future superstar grew up in Kilburn, London NW6. Who Sadie is and why anyone would want to kill her remains a subject of some debate, but the band members aren't talking. Actually they're screaming. They do a lot of that. You see they're a frantic hardcore band whose music is kind of like the aural equivalent of multi-car pileup on the interstate. The Twin Cities quintet screeches through its numbers with such velocity they occasionally threaten the sound barrier and such paralyzing violence you're inclined to check for your wallet and valuables when they're finished. Led by brothers Dallas and Travis Good, the Toronto-based Sadies honed a distinctive sound, taking influence from traditional country, surf music, and garage rock. After earning notice and adding backing singer Neko Case, the group issued their debut LP, Precious Moments, in 1998. Tremendous Efforts followed in early 2001, teaming them with Breeders/PJ Harvey producer Steve Albini for the second time. Indie/avantgarde/gothic/post-punk band from Japan. Formed around 1984, Sadie Sads were influenced by British post-punk music, industrial music and Neue Deutsche Welle.
